The research includes the issues created by the covid-19 in different sectors worldwide and focuses on the changed lives of humans due to this.
Introduction:
As per today, Covid-19 has almost changed everything including our Social lifestyle, greetings, business communications, the method of serving education, the employment ratio and every aspect that we have known since now. It has affected the business industries such as Diamond business, Import-export business, food-chain business, Cinema industries, restaurants, Shopping malls etcetera. Also the political relations between many countries has been affected due to covid-19, for example, the USA is now in trade war with China because of this pandemic occurrence, India has banned around 50 Chinese mobile apps as part of political war. And not only the developed countries but also the under-developing countries have faced such a horrible time during the pandemic.
Description of the issue:
Worldwide Covid-19 response has proposed largely on Physical distancing. Now there is a big difference between social distancing and physical distancing. Physical distancing does not necessarily preclude social connectedness, while social distancing unavoidably presumes disconnectedness. As per physical distancing without endangering the social distancing the societal conditions can be met as per the rule of government. The problem of Social distancing is that not every culture is familiar with the concept. The culture of India greets everyone with gentle “Namaste '' and in casual meetings shake hands thus Indian culture can easily follow social distancing while other European cultures have different ways of greeting such as Male-female and Female-female cheek kissing is popular. Another cultural problem is that now Asian people face systematic racism especially in western cultures by cyber bullying, racist trolling and variety of xenophobic conspiracy theories which are articulated by not only ordinary citizens but also by some politicians and world leaders.
The most significant adverse effect has been faced by the economic sector due to Covid-19. At the starting of the 2020 may economist think this year as the global recession period, but fortunately the market managed to survived the global recession. Despite surviving the recession, the economic sector is in great danger world-wide. Almost every country has experienced the horrible market growth and many countries are working on the economical relief measures. Even according to the researchers the great recession is on the way as the Covid-19 recession has seen the fastest, steepest downgrades in consensus growth projections among all global recession since 1990. The employment opportunities are becoming worst day by day as many small business has to be shut down because of consumer shortage and thousands has lost their jobs. As per ILO (International labour Organisation) the labour market impact of covid-19 will result into 10.5 percent deterioration which is equal to 305 millions full time jobs. As a result of economic crisis because of the Covid-19 almost 1.6 billion informal economy workers representing the most vulnerable in the labour market including worldwide total of 2 billion have suffered massive damage to their earning capacity. As per Guy Ryder, the director-general “ for millions of workers, no income means no food, no security and no future. As the pandemic and job crisis evolve, the needs to protect the most vulnerable becomes even more urgent.” In India the situation is even worst as unemployment rose from 6.7% on 15 march to 26% on 19 April, during the lockdown an estimated 14 crore (140 million) people lost their employment and many has to face cut down in their salary.
The educational effect of Covid-19 is also a big stress for the government to manage the risk free education as well as for the universities and schools and the students. The online learning trend has been in demand in this pandemic situation worldwide as the lives of millions of students and teachers are at risk doing the in-class learning. The online learning has been seen as a negative side as it can never be as effective as in-class learning. There also have been many protests against universities that are demanding tuition fees the same as before and students are protesting that without going to college and meeting the fees should be less in only online learning. As per UNESCO, most governments around the world have temporarily closed educational institutions and it is impacting over 60% of the world’s student population which are 1,184,126,508 affected students worldwide.
The Covid-19 pandemic also affected the science and technological progress and researches around the world. It has reduced productivity in numerous fields in the sector of science and technology. Also it has opened many new research lines in health sectors and research around the world because of Covid-19. The potential long-term effect has been shown to the Launch of the new smartphones may be postponed due to supply-chain shortage. In addition it has affected telecommunication, space research, metal excavation and many fields.
Conclusion:
The Covid-19 has affected more than 19 million people around the world so far and is still continuously growing. The impact of Covid-19 in every sector is very harsh, but governments and individuals are adapting to the new changes that have been done by the pandemic situation. It will be normal again and till then all we can do is stay home and stay healthy unless it is necessary to flatten the curve of Covid-19.
